An additional antimicrobial agent is applied to the media to prevent mold growth on the filter surface. This filter utilizes 100% synthetic media, achieving a MERV 11 value. The pleated filter accumulates heavier, more restrictive particles at the bottom or tips of the pleats, leaving the sides open longer for effective filtration.
