About this product
Introducing the Icy Dock ToughArmor rugged removable drive bay for 2.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. Utilizing the standard PCIe 2.0 interface and taking only a single PCIe expansion slot, it gives you an additional hot-swappable drive bay for hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid state drives (SSDs) even when your computer does not have an open SATA port or empty drive bay. Because the single PCIe port handles both power and data, there's no additional clutter from SATA data and power cables. Fully supports hot-swapping drives with its removable drive tray.

- Compatible with Mac Pro 2008-2012 models with no driver required
- Fits 1 x SATA hard drive or SSD
- Uses PCIe 2.0 x1 interface, also supports installation into PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 3.0 x1, x4, x8, and x16 slots
- Installs into a single-width PCIe expansion slot
- PCIe interface provides both power and data transfer, which ultimately reduces cable clutter
- Narrow design allows for multiple bays to be installed side by side in a modular design
- Includes full-height PCIe faceplate to protect against the buildup of dust
- Strong hot-swap connector rated for a minimum of 10000 insertion/removal cycles
- Eagle-hook lock system keeps the drive secure in the enclosure
- Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) reduces noise and protects against environmental damage
- Active Power Technology (APT) saves power by shutting the device down when no drive is installed
- 5-year manufacturer limited warranty
