    Ideal LinkMaster PRO - Test Twisted-Pair Wiring

    The LinkMaster PRO tester enables installers, contractors and maintenance technicians to map, test and troubleshoot data and voice communication cable and coax runs.

    • Test wiring configuration on UTP and STP
    • Tests unshielded and shielded modular plugs
    • Check for shorts, miss wires, reversals and split pairs
    • Debug feature, automatic shut off and low battery LED indicator
    • Battery size supported: AA
    • Designed to test installed twisted pair wiring
    • Device function: Open circuit testing, short circuit testing, split pair testing
    • Main unit and remote allow one person testing
    • Open there is no "open" LED indication, a typical cable may have 2, 3, or 4 pairs, opens are displayed as an unlit LED
    • User will determine if a pair is present and continuous or OPEN by comparing the illuminated LEDs to the expected number of pairs that should be good
    • Short - a short circuit condition exists
    • Split pairs - split pairs occur when the tip (positive conductor) and ring (negative conductor) of two twisted pairs are interchanged
    • Pass indicators: Four green LEDs on pairs 1 2, 3 6, 4 5, and 7 8. All four pairs are terminated correctly, two green LEDs on pairs 3 6, and 4 5. Both pairs terminated correctly, yowl green LEDs on pairs 1 2, and 3 6. Both pairs terminated correctly
    • Green shield LED indicates the shield on the cable is correctly and continuously wired through the modular plug termination
