About this product
An opaque pinkish-yellow, popular in the Renaissance. Its name comes from natural deposits found in Mount Vesuvius, Naples. Originally made with lead antimonite, Naples yellow is one of the oldest synthetic pigments known, dating from around 1620. Whether you’re a beginner on a budget, an experienced artist doing underpainting or sketching, or a creative professional doing color scoping and exploration, Liquitex Basics Acrylic has you covered. Formulated with the same lightfast, fine art pigments used in our professional range (just with a lighter pigment load), Basics Acrylic delivers a lightfast, medium viscosity experience that sacrifices nothing. It’s the perfect balance of quality, versatility, and economy. So, what are you waiting for? Jump straight in, go for it, and see what happens. Experience The Everyday Acrylic.
