LAYS FLAT!
The last chair mat I bought was a hazard. It came with the outside rim curled. And it never flattened. It just kept getting worse. I ordered this mat due to the ratings. I am VERY pleased. I will purchase again.

moves around too much
Like other reviewers have noted the mat moves around too much. It creeps an inch or two every few days for which it has to be repositioned which is a pain. Perfect for 1/2” carpeting
Chair rolls nicely. There is slight movement of the mat over the course of a full day but easily managed/repositioned.

High risk for trips; it does not lay flat
This mat does not lay flat. I gave it a few weeks to lay down but it has not gotten better as proved by a recent trip crossing the mat. WATCH OUT. I am late to return it but this is a product liability issue that I certainly hope Staples deals with ethically. (Close up this photo shows the shadow from the raised edge.)

Chair Slides Very Easily
I like the fact that the chair slides under the desk very easily but it doesn't stay put if I move. At least I no longer have to struggle to move the chair into position. More sturdy than I antiipated.

Ultimat chair mat
We tried 2 other mats before this one and the chair would sink into the mat so I returned them. This one is great as the chair glides easily on it. Sorry to say I used to but ours from Costco fit under $20 but they stopped selling them. This one cost me about $120. Big difference!

You get what you pay for!
Expensive, but the only chair mat we have found that does the trick with both an office chair used by a person weighing approximately 200 lbs and a dining room style chair used by a lighter weighing person.

Floortex Ultimate 48” x 60” Rectangular Chair Mat
A quality chair mat. I use it about 4 to 6 hrs most days. Chair rolls especially easy and seams to stay in place.

Very good chair mat
Because it's made of poly carbonate it is very hard. Consequently it does tend to move a bit on low-pile carpet. But this is a very good mat worth this minor inconvenience. I expect fewer cracks because of the composition although I have only owned the mat for a short time period.
