Cork is too difficult to "insert pin" ... too tight and the cork is thin so one cannot push pin in to make it stick. Not what I call a bulletin board.

Corkboard
This corkboard has been very helpful in helping me organize my office. I have several things on there that I need to refer to frequently and I’m tired of having to find that one sheet of paper. So bravo.

Won't stick to 3M Command Sticky Pads
Used horizontally this would be great. It looks well-made. But it will NOT stick to 3M Command sticky pads at all. Fell off the wall repeatedly. I think the wood is too slick. The problem might be eliminated with going over with fine sandpaper but we were installing in a dorm and didn't have any. YMMV.

Staples Durable Cork Bulletin Board Oak 2’ x 3’
Bought not to use as bulletin board but as workboard for assembly of balsa model airplanes. Need to pin pieces down on scematics of airframe and wings. Criteria: flat pins will stick after passing through balsa pieces and schematic. So far so good. Frame gets in the way a little however rolled cork that was for sale was paper thin. Good basic bulletin board feels solid and well built. The included paper template for drilling the mounting holes was useful.

Good bulletin board
This is a good affordable cork board with a nice frame and a good value for the price. The only criticism I have is it would be nice if the cork were a little thicker. Pins don't go in very deep.
