Great for Drawing
I've been using these pencils for many years. I draw with them then use my Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils to color the drawing. I use the Col-Erase pencils because they blend in perfectly with the other pencils and the drawing lines don't show in the finished painting.

Great for Sketchbook!
The blue Col-Erase is fabulous for drawing your initial outline in your sketchbook. You can go right over it when drawing further or simply erase it. I can relax knowing I am not committed to the lines I sketch, and can sketch faster when out in the field.

A great pencil, to hard to find!
I have bought many Prismacolor products throughout the years, not limited to, the kneaded erasers, pencil sharpener, 72 pack soft core pencils, and the col-erase pencils. I remember hearing about the pencils through youtube, although I always wondered what red and blue sketching pencils those popular artists used. When I found them a the Philly Blick I was so excited to...

Not erasable difficult to sharpen
I bought these because I wanted erasable easy to sharpen red pencils. These were neither. The one I tried could not be erased to even slightly invisible even with a high-polymer eraser and sharpening was a chore that didn't yield a usable point. I returned them.

Prismacolor Nice Pencil
Works well. Nice texture. Lead is the correct hardness. The red color stands out really well.

Quality has deteriorated becoming not worth the price
I have been buying these red pencils for my office for the past few years. During this time I have noticed that the quality of these pencils have deteriorated. The red "lead" is softer and more prone to breaking while the wood has gotten more brittle and is prone to chipping around the lead after sharpening. As a result we go through these pencils very fast in the off...

They don't make pencils like they used to
I need these pencils for my work and I noticed that while it may be my electric sharpener they do not keep a good point as in the past. I think it's the wood quality. So the pencils are pretty good but they could be better. The excellent help I had ordering them and the quick delivery to my home the next day were the high point of the order as I was working with 3-...

Good Pencils
The order came quickly -- four boxes of 12 red pencils with erasers. Good quality. I'm wondering two things though. The packages in the store with four pencils the pencils were pre-sharpened. So why aren't the boxes of 12? Also if I need to outfit a whole church choir why can't I find a box of 50?
