I couldn’t get one of the inks to work.when I had given up and my husband came home from work and had me wipe off the electronics on the cartridge it worked.

It works great but was too expensive. Staples doesn’t do much to help out educators in the public school system.

Hello,
My apologies for this happening to you. With this type of printer, poor print quality is usually due to clogged nozzles in the printhead. They can be cleared by running the printhead cleaning from the printer's menu.
If it appears that the poor performance is due to a defect of the cartridge itself, the return and exchange process is covered, step-by-step, at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
