Heats up quick.
Boils water fast. We wanted it for making our coffee and tea in the morning. It's fast and that works great for us.

Doesn't turn off unless unplugged
Unfortunately no one noticed that when the dial is turned all the way to the left, it is not actually off, just on 'low'. Came in the first morning after receiving this to a terrible burnt plastic smell and the realization that we were fortunate that enough water had been left inside the unit to evaporate that it did not cause a fire. Unacceptable for our use
The design was unacceptable for our use. It is a hot pot that has no shut off button, automatic or manual. You have to unplug it to turn it off. The water evaporated and a hard glue-like substance appeared in the bottom.

Oldie but a goody!
This pot does as advertises - heats up water for tea, ramen, and oatmeal in our office. I had one in college and it hasn't changed since!

Brentwood electric Kettle
This is a nice sized lightweight electric kettle for boiling water. Water heats fast and is small in size for travel. Only downside is it doesn’t automatically turn off, you have to stay nearby to unplug it.

This hot water pot from Brentwood is virtually identical to to the one from Sunbeam that we had used for years until it got too old and wouldn't heat very well any more. This one from Brentwood takes 5 or 6 minutes to bring water to a full boil. We also use it to soft boil eggs. Quick for hot water for tea/coffee
This little hot pot is a good value if you want to heat water for a quick cup of tea or coffee. It can also be used for heating other items like soups etc. Heating water in this hot pot is usually faster than heating water in microwave. In the past, these hot pots (same as Sunbeam brand) have lasted me more than 3-4 years. I would recommend it.
