Poorly designed, small capacity
With a Cuisinart coffee maker and toaster that are exceptional and long-lasting, I was excited to find a Cuisinart coffee grinder and at a reasonable price. The coffee grinder DOES feel solid and well-made. Turns out the capacity for the beans isn't enough to brew even 8 of the 12-cup capacity of the coffee maker. After many years, it's time for another Cuisnart
I've had the predecessor model #DCG20N for years. I grind coffee beans every day. About 2 years ago I dropped the lid onto the tile floor. Of course it broke, everything breaks when it hits that hard porcelain tile. I then glued it together. I've been using it since. However my glue joint has finely gave up and there is no fixing that. Pulsate works best
Pulsating whole beans (6 scoops) works best to break down beans then hold down to grind.

Small but effective
Small but good coffee grinder. Only downside is removing what you ground, without unplugging it, and tipping it into something else. Great for small batches.

Great little grinder!
I use this grinder for spices instead of coffee so can't say how it does with coffee. It does a great job on spices though.

Works well, just a little small
Works well, just wish it was a little bigger - it only grinds a small amount at a time which can be annoying. We always make a big pot of coffee and I wish I could grind at least a full cup of beans all at once.

Small but mighty
This is perfect for a 5 cup coffee maker. It grinds 3 different ways, course, drip, fine. It is very easy to use. Put in the beans and press the lever and you are done. Clean up is a breeze. This was a great purchase.

Great Grinder
Compact, inexpensive and works great. The instructions are a must to follow to get the grind you are looking for. Medium grind: run grind for 20 seconds. When complete, this will be the right amount of coffee to brew 5 cups in the Cuisinart 5 cup coffee maker.
