Wow - what a special gift!
We received the Omega Reflector Telescope as a gift. What a special gift! My 7-year-old son who wants to be an Astronaut couldn't wait to use it ASAP. I was dreading putting it together as I new I was on my own -not something my husband will do. The directions were pretty solid and it only took about 30 minutes to assemble. It says to calibrate during the daytime, but i...

The stars
Easy to assemble and use. Great product for the price. If you want to see the stars, you must get one.

Patience Required
Great telescope but like most high-powered telescopes, it takes time to assemble and it also takes patience to learn how to use such a scientific tool. This is not a toy and it shouldn't be treated like one. But holy cow! Once you get the hang of it, it is soooo cool!

nice telescope for beginner with adult guidance
We purchased this telescope for our son since his curiosity for the stars was peaked from his cub scout outing to see the stars. With a group effort from the two of us assembly was relatively easy except for one piece. The micro movement rod was missing the piece that connects to the telescope tube. Beyond that the assembly was completed in under 30 minutes and within 3...

Surprising Viewing Power Packed in!
When the package first arrived, I was a little skeptical because I've never owned a telescope before, and I wasn't sure whether I would be able to see much with this one, but I was pleasantly surprised!
Putting the telescope together was not difficult because I had a friend help me, but it did take quite some time (30 minutes or so). The instructions that were include...

Good Optics, Not for Beginners
The telescope was easy to assemble with well written instructions. Our sons (9) and (11) were able to help with the assembly. The optics for viewing large objects such as the moon are great. We were able to easily view craters on the moon in detail. The first time we used the telescope we were in Yosemite and had to move it from our cabin to an open meadow for a clear s...

Great Telescope for the Entire Family!
We received this telescope as a gift. We've really enjoyed using it both at night and during the day!!
It was a bit complicated for my 9 year old to assemble alone, so we worked together and the assembly took about 20 minutes. Make sure to read the instructions and follow the instructional photos. It needs to be calibrated (aligning the scope with the viewer) during t...

Worth the time to set it up
We were really excited about getting the GeoSafari Omega Reflector Telescope and using it. On opening the box, we realized it would take more time to assemble than anticipated. For background, I got this telescope for a nine year-old and an eleven year-old. I am very handy and have put together everything I've purchased for 25+ years. That said, this set up is not for k...

Fantastic & Educational
We received this telescope as a gift, just in time for our boy scouts camping trip in Santa Barbara. My husband assembled the telescope for a den of 8 very excited scouts. Assembly took a little bit of time, make sure to read instructions. Also try not to have 8 very excited boys standing around waiting patiently while trying to get the telescope ready.

Amazing quality!
Wow! This telescope is EXCELLENT quality. The lens was spectacular for viewing the blood moon last night. This is a wonderful way for students to put their lunar studies to good use.
A few cons. This was pretty difficult to assemble. Also, when I used tools to assemble it, it stripped the metal. Once you have it assembled though, you are good to go!

Amazing!
First, I was impressed by how quickly the telescope arrived! It is very well packed, and does require some assembly. I was able to put it together myself, by simply reading the instructions. (Did you hear that, Dad? I read the instructions! lol) It is described on the product page as a powerful telescope, and they aren't exaggerating! My daughter and I absolutely love g...
