HOW I LOVED THIS ITEM BUT COULDN'T KEEP!!!!
THIS ITEM IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. IT HOLDS 36 PAIRS OF SHOES AND IS VERY STURDY. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS NOT FOR AN APARTMENT WHOSE BEDROOM DOORS BACK UP TO A CLOSET . . . IN OTHER WORDS, THIS ITEM HAS DEPTH TO IT SO ONCE I POSITIONED IT ON THE BACK OF MY BEDROOM DOOR, I COULD NOT OPEN MY DOOR ALL THE WAY -- ONLY HALF WAY . . . WHICH DOESN'T WORK WELL. I WILL ...

Waste of time and money
I am going to return. The subject rack is waste of my money. The rack should be discontinued of making so peoples would not purchase and return.

Better than expected
The quality of this item is mediocre, but in a good way. It’s sturdy enough to do what it’s supposed to do. The width is smaller than what it describes as being able to hold 3 pairs of shoes across, but luckily, I only need it to hold 2 pairs across. Function, aesthetics, and ease of building made this a 5-star experience. Price and quality bring it down, but not enough...

I recently purchased the Whitmor 36 pairs capacity over the door shoe rack and it has given us the capacity we certainly needed for storing shoes.
It was very easy to assemble and clings extremely well to the back of our bedroom door. I highly recommend it to anyone requiring additional storage capacity.
