Beautiful Bookcases
I have purchased a living room full of these bookcases and they are the easiest to assemble that I have ever put together. They are beautiful and can hold a lot of books and I need a few more to finish.

Sadly, this bookshelf cannot holds BOOKS
Was initally happy with this product, but if you actually FILL a shelf with BOOKS, it starts to sag - it cannot support the weight.

Beautiful Bookcases

Bookshelf-Not for Books
Hi: I bought these bookcases to be similar to ones I already own. The problem is that they are not very sturdy and the shelves are too thin (about 1/2") and the brackets too weak to hold anything substantial. If all you have are paperback books, probably ok. But will not safely hold an entire shelf of real books (as if anybody buys those any more these days in any event...

This "put-together" bookcase was exactly what I expected. I would tell buyers to put a shim or two under the front base if they are not attaching the top to the wall. That lessens the possibility of tipping, as the unit is not particularly heavy. It is perfect for our application of displaying books and pamphlets for sale. Shelves for light weight items
A weight limit should be indicated. I put a bunch of books on one of the shelves and within a few minutes it was starting to bow. Why call it a book shelf if it won't support the books? They seem to work well for holding light weight items.

A solid bookshelf
I've assembled quite a few bookshelves from various sources, and this is among the easiest to build. They pre-draw the line along the back card so you know where to put the little nails into the middle shelf- that's a nice touch. The little plastic covers are flimsy (as in all bookshelves) and some required a bit of glue to stay in place, but at least they aren't white ...

Good bookcase for the price. Plan of removing items from the adjustable shelves and flipping the shelves over every six months or so due to warping.

Nice bright white unit
I was pleasantly surprised how well this was boxed, very secure. The pieces were marked and simple to put together, only needed a phillips screwdriver. Also better quality then expected. I had to call customer service, it's a french Canadian firm, and they were very nice. Note that unlike the picture, the backing to the unit is corrugated.
