Canon CLI-42 - barely any ink
I purchased this for my Canon printer to print shipping labels. I have only printed about 10 labels and I need to replace the cartridge already. This is supposed to be a photo printer. I would get 1 photo printed at this rate.

Canon ink is the best
The only ink that I trust with my Canon printers is Canon. I never have a problem with it. Many years ago I did try a third party equivalent and within six months my print head was a disaster. I learned my lesson - I stay with Canon inks.

High quality photo ink
For my most important family photographs I will only use Canon OE ink.
Staples tends to have this for slightly less than most other places so I'm more than happy to order it here. And fast shipping to my house means even if I'm getting low on ink, I can have a new set of cartridges here in a day or two.

It is a 11x17 printer designed for photos. Cannon says using Canon inks with Canon paper has a 25 year archival life. Well see. takes 8 cartridges so this is the first time I've replaced them.
Not designed for everyday printing.

Never substitute
Our Pixma Pro 100 is our important job printer. I print CDs on it, with excellent results. We print photos small and large with great results. Photo printing is pro grade. So we protect it with Canon ink. Always.

Great customer service
On a Monday, I went to the store to purchase ink cartridges. They were out and the customer service person offered quickly offered to check the system and see if it could be ordered. In less than 2 minutes he ordered them and they would be delivered to my place of business in 3 days. Awesome! Happy am I :)
