We're sorry to hear that you were getting headaches from the scent and want to assure you that we test to ensure Dawn is safe to use as directed. When designing Dawn, we do extensive research to create features that we think you will love. We're so incredibly sorry to hear that you had this experience, James. This isn't what we want any of our consumers, let alone of our loyal users for over 20 years, to experience. Usually, when this happens, it occurs to dishes that are porous. Porous dishes are typically your cast irons, plastics, or even dishes that have been used so much. With these dishes, we do not suggest soaking them and to wash them right away. To remove it from your dishes, please soak them in hot water with a bit of distilled white vinegar added to it. We appreciate that you've loved Dawn, Jen, and we don't want that to change. While we do extensive research and consumer testing to create appealing product features, we also realize that preferences can vary from person to person. We're sorry you find the scent sickening and have experienced migraines when using our dish soap. Our products are tested to be safe when used as directed, however, because you're experiencing sensitivity, we recommend that you discontinue use of this fragrance.
