Glad my Staples store carries this item!
My recording studio depends on the Thunderbolt cables. When one of them stopped working I searched around and only Staples had a cable in stock that I could pick up right away. I could not wait to have one ordered online and shipped. The only issue I had was the inventory on the website said the store only had the long cable but when I arrived at the store they had ...

The cable works but it's definitely too short
Probably looks like a 30cm cable not 50cm. Can't connect anything with it unless it's right next to your port. Definitely overpriced.

Excellent cable but a bit pricey
This Apple branded cable does exactly what it is supposed to do. Like most Apple products however the price is somewhat steep. Luckily for me I had a Staples gift card to take the edge off.

Fast
I needed this cable to transfer data from my Apple notebook to a new Mac Mini. With a PC it took me 24 hours to transfer data by cable. However with the Thunderbolt Cable and two Macs I transferred 57Gs of data in about 10 minutes. Awesome!!!

Short & Sweet (Pun Intended)
Perfect for transferring data from one laptop to another or backing up to your Time-Machine hard drive. Backing up 250 GB of data via Thunderbolt took ~ 30 min compared to ~ 3 hours via FireWire 800. This cable is short and easy to store. The only improvement I can suggest is to make the cable a few inches longer - 0.75 m would be ideal.

Expensive but it works
Apple products are crazy expensive but always reliable. This short Thunderbolt cable is a god choice for accessories and even long enough to connect two laptops together when migrating from one laptop to another.

Great to connect two Macs
I bought a new Macbook and want to migrate files from my old Macs to the new one. I tried WiFi but it will take forever to finish the migration and could be easily disconnected which makes me to re-do everything. Then I decided to use Thunderbolt to accomplish this migration. This works great. It just takes me a little more than 1 hour to finish migrating everything.
