Short life span
Like the fact you don't loose outlets, you actually gain. However I have gone through two units now because the USB ports stop working. The third will likely not be a Belkin. I need more than a year worth of service from such an appliance.

Seems to work fine.
Seems to work fine. Won't really know about surge feature until the next big power upset out here in the country. For my particular situation (mounted sideways) I bought this because of it's AC recepticle orientation. Also it has a center screw to secure it into the wall recepticle (such is missing from many units available which means this one doesn't pull out loose...

Useful product
Pretty good to have especially for a home office environment. The USB ports are pretty useful.Helps with fluctuating voltage.

Perfect for my WFH station!
This wall mount was the solution to my work from home area. Having two outlets just wasn't cutting it and I was constantly switching out my devices that were plugged in. Now I can have all of my devices charging at once! It even came with two USB ports that I wasn't expecting. Overall great product that exceeded my expectations!

Design flaw-- Should red light be on or off?
I bought and installed two of the SurgePlus. Both have green lights on-- indicating surge protection is on. One has red light on-- the other does not-- I'm confused about which indicates grounding-- when red light is on or off?

Great product

Great unit
I have always used this for my electronics and now that I have moved I plugged it in and it will work in all the outlets except the one outlet in the living room.

Gives it's life to protect your stuff - Warranty?
Two of these units both burned up last night but protected the phones and computers plugged into them. Question is - it is impossible to find a simple way to file a warranty claim now. Had one for my AV Center go up several years ago. Painless replacement process.

very loud
Great product, if you don't use the USB plugs. Plug anything in the USB ports and it lets out a loud high pitch whine. Very annoying, so much so that it is useless.

Great Product
This product did its job. Had a power surge and the TV and all the other things that were connected to it did not get damaged. Unfortunately the unit it self does not work now and there is no reset button on it. Since i dont have power surge protectors on all my outlets. I did lose a TV, washer,water heater and refrigerator. My question is will belkin replace my product...

Worked great and then.....
We have the BV106050-CW version surge protector . It stopped working today. Less than a year old but not sure of date first used. The unit was plugged into a four plug kitchen outlet with test and reset buttons. The power went out on that outlet only. After checking breakers I unplugged the belkin and reset outlet. I like it
I've had one of these for several years now and I've found it very useful. I like the way it looks. It's made of quality materials and has a solid feel. The mounting screw is good to have because it keeps the thing secure on the wall when you unplug cords - lots of other products I've seen around don't have it. Misleading!
I just bought this and didn't realize it would need custom installation and electrical work and/or take up two sockets. There is a screw that goes all the way through the unit. The instructions that came with it did not correspond to the unit purchased (and are in like 5 point font).

We don't want you to feel that way. The BSV602 Surge Protector wouldn't need custom installation. You can choose to install the Surge Protector over your AC outlet's wall plate and secure with the included mounting screw, or plug the surge protector directly into the outlet without using the screw.

great features. not compatible with decora sockets
With the rectangular electrical outlet/decora being more and more popular, it would have been helpful for the product description to indicate that this is only compatible with the duplex socket. Purchased because Belkin has such a great name but because being unable to plug it in, I don't know how well it works/doesn't work.
