Fun way for preschoolers to learn!
This is a fun, interactive way for preschoolers to learn. My 4 year old wants to do these activity card sets every day after lunch and I think she likes it more because of the Pete the cat pen makes it more fun! The activity card sets includes a variety of different questions for preschoolers like letters, numbers, critical thinking, etc. She completes (by her own choic...

Love the books, but pen doesn't work
We received this as a gift from my mother to my daughter, who loves Pete the Cat. Unfortunately, the pen doesn't work right out of the box. New batteries inserted properly, cleaned the pen tip, ensured everything was closed, but the pen does nothing š. The books themselves are great.

Educational but Needs Supervision
My son was very excited to receive this. Once we got it, we had a faulty pen and tried many combinations of batteries and nothing worked. Educational Insights shipped a new pen very quickly to us.
Once we got the pen to work, my son enjoyed going through all the scenarios. It something that works best if an adult is reading through the pages with the child. It's not th...

Making learning fun!
This toy comes with a Pete the Cat pen and learning book. (Batteries are not included) children can easily operate Pete by pressing the pen on the black circles on the page. Pete's eyes light red or green if the answer is correct or wrong. Music also plays. I read the questions to my daughter (ex. What things on this page are blue?). She found the answers. She's 4 and a...

Very helpful for active 3 year old
Very happy with this product. My 3 year old has problems wanting to count and engage in more educational toys. This one she calls her 'notebook' and she loves it. She says she has her big girl notebook now. She loves counting the items or looking to see what letter it is. She feels encouraged and it makes her keep wanting more. I am sure soon she will want the other boo...

Fun and learning in one!
My preschool son and I were sent this product to try out. We love it! My son enjoyed the Pete the Cat character right away and called it a "boy Hello Kitty". He can sit for a very long time and remain engaged while I read the questions to him and selects the answers. It is very interactive since the pen lights up and provides positive reinforcement for correct answers. ...

Love Pete the Cat
My 3 yo was super excited once he saw the box. He loves Pete the Cat and was so excited to see what the activity was all about. Super easy packaging, we got started right away. He loved the sounds and music that Pete made and how the eyes lit up. He had to get the hang of pushing the pen straight up and down to get the appropriate response from Pete. Questions and conce...

Great for parnet/child to play together
I got this for my 3.5 year old son. He really likes the cat pen - it makes a "correct" and "incorrect" noise based on which dot he presses in the book. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that an adult has to participate. He can't read the questions and they aren't laid out in a way where he could very easily figure it out without being able to read. So it is a grea...

Super Cute, Loved this game - will buy more 'Pete the Cat'!
Loved, loved, loved this game with my daughter! I thought she'd be too young (19 months) but we pulled it out and played with it and it was nice to interact and get her brain going on something other than Winnie the Pooh :) The light up eyes are fun enough to keep her engaged, and the books are pretty sturdy. Only feedback was there's a lot of packaging for what is insi...

Pete The Cat Preschool Set
The Pete the cat activity book is perfect for my daughter. She loves how easy it is to use on her own. She is learning how to read and the light up pen helps her know when she has the right or wrong answer. The book keeps her attention for 30 minutes at a time and she has picked it up on her own to play with it a couple times a week. Plus the Pete the cat character help...

Great set of lessons using an interactive pen!
My 3-year old daughter loves this! She loves the interactive pen and that she is able to figure out whether or not she's right by using it.
I love the questions because it teaches various concepts. Shapes, colors, letters, numbers, animals, you name it! The questions cover so many lessons all in one and my child does not get bored due to the variety. The picture are r...

Great preschool tool!
Got this for my 4.5 year old preschooler. The first book was definitely too easy for him and he breezed through it (but he was still very engaged). But after he went through it once, he didn't want to go back to it. The second book was definitely more at his level and he was very engaged. The pen was what really got him. He carried it around with him for weeks. :) Needs...

True total adult-child interactive game books
This is a fun interactive learning set of pretty sturdy wire bound books that contain dots which activate Pete the Cat's green or red eyed response through his namesake shaped pen when pressed to said dots.

A little bit of everything
Some easy, some challenging problems. A little more variety of questions would be nice. Overall, a fun educational activity for my 4 year old.

I would buy this product again and again.
Amazing educational product. My 4 year old son was very excited the box. We opened it immediately and went through the whole book. It taught him letters, rhyming, patterns and much more! His favorite part was when Pete turned green showing him he got the right answer!

Clients so excited to see Pete the Cat in a Hot Dots Pen
I'm a pediatric SLP who received this product in exchange for a review, public or private. My clients love the Hot Dots pens and I often save them for the end of our session to use as a reward. Each child I've used this one with has been very excited to see Pete the Cat, and love the music he makes when they get the right answer. I use it with my clients who are 3 years...
