VERY DISAPPOINTED
If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet, I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers, this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate.

flimsy & too thin
The chair mat is easy to trip on due to how thin it is. I'm a very old woman & it could cause a problem for me. It doesn't lay totally flat, at one end it has a mis-shaped rise. Poor quality.

Chair mat
Shifts position with movement of chair, and as a result it tends to develop humps/bulges due to stresses on the plastic. Also, the mat develops indentations or pockets where the chair weight presses downward, under the casters.

Desk chair mat
This mat made my nice desk chair a pleasure to use! It is a perfect size and the chair easily glides on top of the mat. The smooth side of the mat was quite dusty and needed to be thoroughly wiped. Also, there was a very sticky, large label that was difficult to remove. Had to use acetone on the residual adhesive.

Could be much better
Wheels make indents in mat and chair rolls into holes and gets "stuck". Needs to be harder material.
