VERY DISAPPOINTED
If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet, I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers, this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate.

Badly creased from being in the delivery car for 5 day. (OK now). Black scrapes upper corner , still there. Black marks in a dozen places that cleaned off in a few minutes.
Chair wheels sink into soft mat creating divets, but I get good exercise trying to push back to get out of them.
Shipping was four days late.

"Really Great"
Had to replace the old mat as it was cracking in several places.
Decided to buy a smaller one than the prior mat and without the lip.
Never liked the look of the lip.
This new mat turned out to look so much better and still is large enough for area that the chair needs to roll on.
Really like it a lot. A good purchase.

not good
I have indentations on mat from my chair which is unexceptable. I weigh 103 lbs. Also they put tape on the top side of the mat and it took me hours to try and get it off. Still some on. Wish I had my 14 yr old mat back

Mat was delivered unboxed laid on two front steps. Had it rained, it would have been soaked. Unfortunately, it was too big and needed to be returned to the Woburn, MA store. Divots after an hour
My rolling office chair isn’t heavy, and neither am I. Divots formed under the wheels within an hour, and I tried moving the chair and not sitting in it, and it formed more divots. 2 mm thick, sturdy plastic. I probably should have gotten the one for medium pile carpet. Maybe it won't indent as much where the wheels of my chair presses down on it. But the short pile one was cheaper so I got that one instead. Will see how long it lasts before these indentations turn into cracks. like that it's rectangular
this is a good chair mat for my desk. i like that i was able to buy one without the lip on it. Fits nice under my desk and my chair doesn't get hung up on any none covered parts of the carpet.
