VERY DISAPPOINTED
If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet, I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers, this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate.

Handling fee??
My order was handled carelessly. One of the two items arrived damaged, no packaging or wrapping. I paid a fee to have it damaged?? Not right.

like that it's rectangular
this is a good chair mat for my desk. i like that i was able to buy one without the lip on it. Fits nice under my desk and my chair doesn't get hung up on any none covered parts of the carpet.

Okay, a bit thin
For the price, I don’t regret trying out this mat, but it quickly developed some indents from my rolling chair’s wheels and now the chair tends to settle in that spot. I think my carpet is probably medium-pile, and a thicker mat would help. I don’t know much about carpet pile!

Does not meetmy expectations
I would not recommend this item if the chair on it has wheels. The plastic compresses under the chair wheels and the wheels get stuck in the depressions formed in the mat. I have another mat that I use with a chair without wheels and it works fine as you lift the chair out of the depressions when you move it.

Warps Under Weight
Can hardly support any weight. Chair casters get stuck in one position because the mat warps. I highly recommend a chair mat with at least 0.08" thickness to support a chair.
