I have not been able to install the cartridge in my HP 4500 printer. I am not mechanical and will wait for my daughter to try to fit it in before returning.

HP901XL versus HP901 Standard Yield
Ordered the 901XL online and they said it was available and then, of course, oh no, we can't. I can buy a regular standard yield HP901 from anyone. Sorta a bait and switch sales approach when you are really needing ink. Beware.

Great value
The main problem with third party ink cartridges is that the printers often reject them. Thankfully, this was not the case. The HP printer was perfectly happy with this 901 substitute cartridge, at about half the price!
