Product flawed
Switch on lamp sticks and is not secure. Interface between plastic clamp and bottom of lamp is loose and insecure, poor design. Spring loaded articulated arms work fairly well. Would not recommend this items Thinking about returning lamp. Actual rating 1.5 stars.

Inadequate clamp
Although the lamp is attractive, the clamp does not support the swivel feature. When the lamp is extended, it falls. As a result, it cannot be used for my intended purpose.

New lamp
Like the lamp but the connecting clamp is a little weak and cord is minimal

Weak clamp
Plastic clamp broke on the second day. I moved lamp arm over my work, and the plastic clamp broke. Luckily, base had mounting holes. I MPERMANENTly mounted it to my desk with screws.

Swing Arm Drafting Lamp
The fixture “looks” fine, but it is made cheaply with plastic attachments to support the Arm springs! One piece broke while putting it together! Purchasing this was a mistake. I will be returning it.

Poor design, poor quality. F-
Lamp was meant to attach to 1.75" bar of bed frame but its poor design & cheap construction wouldn't permit that to happen. Got a good return deal from Staples.

Pleased
I replaced a very similar lamp only because I was unable to find a replacement clamp. The other lamp had been around so many years, I actually don't know if it it was closer to ten years or twenty years. I am an avid sewer and cannot do without this sewing companion. Very pleased with this purchase.
