Haven't had this soap before. The scent is floral and refreshing. At first scent was really strong but after each use it didn't bother me. I felt really clean after using it. The bar fit well in my hands and it foam well. Overall I would get this again.

Deceptive Change - No longer a trusted brand.
Deceptive change, Did not let consumers know the formula changed. Most companies say New Formula as a heads up. smells weird now, lathers poorly now. rinses poorly now.
I have used ivory for decades. No longer a 140 years trusted brand.
Looks like you gave away a lot of free soap to get positive reviews.
Good Riddance, will be find a new brand.

Not as good as the Original Formula
Very disappointed in the new formula. They changed their ingredients and their process in making the soap. It is completely different. They old formula had been around 145 years. I just bought 30 bars and realized the difference instantly. Now I need to see if I can return them.

Fresh
This soap is perfect if you want something simple for everyday bathing. If you’re hoping for rich moisturization this might feel a bit plain. Scent is light . It lathers well and rinses cleanly . It’s mild not overpowering . Leaves skin feel fresh .

Please bring back the old formula!
I am 46 years old and I have been using Ivory pretty much all of my life. Why did you change the formula? Why did you do it without warning your loyal customers? This new formula made my skin break out in rashes. I have had to discontinue use because of this. Please bring back the old soap and call that “original”. This one needs to be names something else.

A staple in my house
I love Ivory Gentle because of how well it lathers and you can always depend on its performance. It is a staple bar soap in my house, we always have it stocked. I like to use a soap bag with it so I can make sure it all gets used and not wasted. You always know you're clean when you're done, thats how well it works!

What Have They Done?
I knew something had changed with the Ivory soap. It doesn't lather as well and doesn't rinse off the body easily either. In the past year I've been getting allergic type reactions from it, so I've had to switch to my expensive Clinique bar of face soap. Thank god for that! CHANGE THE NAME NOT ORIGINAL... NOT EVEN CLOSE..
I should have read these review, before purchasing this non-original soap!!!! I just purhcase 10 bars of this useless soap. How many corner did you cut to make this crap? Nostalgic
Smells like my childhood, i have very vivid memories of taking this soap to summer camp because that was required and using it again just brings back that nostalgia. Doesn't leave any residue which is always nice

Not the Original!
I have used this product my whole adult life and have loved it. Now it has changed and it marketed as the "original scent". The new bar is waxy, leaves a filmy finish and does NOT smell like the original. Silly, but it also does not float. The advertising is VERY misleading! Please bring back the actual original Ivory bar soap!

A generic bar of lotion posing as the original which would otherwise be unremarkable if it was not yet another abominable example of a company abandoning a unique and long trusted product formulation in favor of reformulation by focus group, committee, and social media influence.

Original Label but New Ingredients, New Process?

I love Ivory Soap
I have been using Ivory bar soap for over 30 years. I love the purity of the soap and it is economical. Two of the stores in my area (Walmart and Shop Rite) have been recently void of the product. I hope this is a problem of the recent snowstorm and not a decision to discontinue the product.

I love that it's not too harsh
I love the subtle fragrance it's not too overwhelming. It's easy on the skin. The packaging is great. The soap is able to be used for a good amount of time before it starts to reduce. It's easy to rinse off after using.

Very gentle on the skin
Some things don’t need to change. Ivory bar soap is gentle, smells clean, and fits right into my self-care routine ,whether it’s a quick morning shower or a quiet night reset.

Nice bar of soap safe for your face
This gentle bar soap is nice I use it to wash my face in the morning love the bar of soap it smells great like a fresh scent of spring. It lasts up to 3-4 weeks it stays dry if you just leave it on the soap bed lasts a while. Doesn’t get gooey and it’s very strong does not break when you use it daily and doesn’t dissolves as fast like dove or caress does.

Great work Ivory...you ruined your soap!
I've been using Ivory since the 1960s. I had a huge supply of the old Ivory on the shelf due to my love for it and worries it would be unavailable when covid hit. Just ran low and bought some of the new Ivory. The new vegan formulation Ivory bars are garbage. They crack within a few uses and do not clean as well as the old formulation.
