87X toner
This was well worth the extra money. It almost printed double the amount of the A for less money in the long run. I highly recommend buying this toner.

THE CARTRIDGE MAKES NOSE AND IS PRINTING ONLY HALF OF THE PAGE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF INSTALLING IN PRINTER

Best to get HP manufactured toner cartridge
This HP manufactured toner cartridge didn't appear in my initial search of toner cartridges, only re-manufactured ones were showing up. Bad deal, none of the remanufactured ones worked on our HP. Finally found this toner cartridge and it worked!!

Doesn't Fit
Even though both Staples and HP say that it will, the 87x does not fit the M506X printer. It is 2 inches too wide

Is not compatible to replace HP87A.
It is physically bigger than 87A and does not fit all printers.
