my printer does not recognize it as a genuine
you would think that with the number of cartridges that are genuine and turned in for remanufacture that i would not get error messages when I load them

Toner cartridge issue
This cartridge had been on back order then when it finally arrived it was defective putting black marks on copies and we had to return it to a store after initially purchasing online. Messy with a sheet full of red blue and yellow lines.
Leaks toner everywhere inside your printer. Sure the print quality is almost that of HP Genuine Cartridges but that's hardly enough to save $15 on toner. The Cyan toner leaks on every first page that was printed. The 2nd page prints fine. Which resulted in printing the first page twice to get a clean copy.

Reserving judgement
We have been buying the Staples remanufactured cartridges for one of our printers. For most of the year they worked fine. Now we are finding that sometimes it will leak color onto the pages when you first put the replacement in. We returned one color for this issue and are waiting to see if the next one improves.

Color Laser Toner Cartridge HP 312A (CF383A) Magenta.
This toner is great. The generic brand shipped to us in the green boxes offered as a replacement is not good. It leaks inside the printer and gets all over the documents. I will continue to order the CF383A magenta brand.

same as new but cheaper
Works just as well as the new toner cartridges but costs less. No problems with the cartridge not fitting in the printer.
