Good sound but not any louder than the iPad by itself
I wanted increased volume from my iPad but only got better quality sound, not louder.

I haven't tried it yet, am waiting to use it with my MP3 player in the cart when I golf this summer. Have had trouble finding a speaker that will work with the MP3 player. Hoping this is the answer. I gave 5 stars due to my past experiences with Jensen products

This is just what I needed however I didn’t see that I needed a 120 v ac adapter. I apparently there are a bunch of different versions. And don’t know which one to get. It would have been nice if the 120 v ac adapter was added as a suggestion to buy

Just what I was looking for
I was looking for a speaker that I could keep in my car (I actually attached this to my dashboard) so I could plug my Pandora songs from my phone and listen to songs I like to hear instead of the fool radio which plays so many annoying advertisements. This was an affordable way to do so. Love it.

Very convenient
Great that this speaker works both on AC and battery. It's very convenient. Another review said that you can't turn the volume up very high. This is true if you use the plug that's fixed on the top of the unit. However, there is another plug with a cord in the battery compartment. You get what you pay for. DO NOT pay full price for this item. Does not connect well even when there is no case on your device and tips over if you use any type of tablet. Sound quality is ok for price. Does not get as loud as hoped even with phone or tablet volume at max. We used both an IPAD and multiple Samsung galaxy tablets and phones.
