My printer only uses HP High Yield Cartridges
I have several HP products and Page Wide has been great and with the High Yield Cartridge is the way to go, it prints crisp and high quality. The cost is reduced by purchasing this instead of the regular ink. It prints fast and looks great.

Recommend checking on another brand of printer that doesn't cost $600+ to replace the cartridges.
The price of these cartridges is not affordable.

Very Expensive Cartridges
All the Cartridges are super expensive for this printer. They work good and last us about 6-8 Months since we are a business however they're so pricy. We have to spend almost $500 on all 4 cartridges needed for this printer. They could use a cheaper version or something.

HP cartridges are high quality. While I love the Pagewide printer features and the professional quality of the printer itself and the pages it prints, the cost of the ink is making me reconsider the purchase. Horrible Printer, gets nowhere near the stated pages per cartridge.
I bought this printer and only printed a few hundred pages before the ink ran out, despite the advertised page range of 3000 pages of black and 1500 pages of color on the setup cartriges.

always use original HP ink!
The HP 972X cartridge IS expensive but with the PageWide Pro MFP 477 it seems, as with all of the HP 'XL' cartridges, to last 'forever'. Never had a problem with any HP OEM cartridges.

Best way to purchase
I again purchased new ink for my HP PageWide and I love it. I always purchase it directly through HP and love their discounts. I have many HP products and they are quality products.

Cartridge didn’t work
I went to use the cartridge in my page wide hp printer and it said it wasn’t compatible...Very frustrating... However Staples refunded it without any questions! So that made it a little better..
