Hi, I'm sorry that you haven't been happy with your type of printer. That there has to be some ink in each cartridge can be frustrating, but that feature will protect your printer from damage. There are advantages and disadvantages to different types of printers. Many people prefer the ones like yours, with separate ink cartridges, because you only have to replace each single color as it runs out. Now, you will still (very rarely) have to get color cartridges because the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper will clog unless they are cleared regularly.
