It was easy to install using just a power drill and a screwdriver, and seems quite sturdy. The suggestion for what size pilot hole to drill seemed too small, so I picked a bit the same size as the inner core of the screw (the part that would be left if all the threads were gone). After reading that some people had trouble with these screws, I only used the drill to ti...

EXCELLENT. Bought this bar and the quality is great. It is better to put th brackets than the other adjustble bars. This bar is steady and it says the capacity is 300lbs. I think it can even hold more than that. GREAT PRODUCT

WONDERFUL FOR STRETCHING SPINE. I HAVE HAD THIS BAR FOR YEARS and Love It. I have a very bad back and if I just hang from it each day it really helps my spine. Just looked it up to see if you still had it for my brother.

I'm giving it 5 stars because I got what I expected for such a low price and it's not complete junk. The "grip" things are absolutely useless, held on by velcro and spin freely, so you may as well toss them. The only other "problem" I see is a mistake in the installation instructions. It says to draw a line 3 inches from top of door frame, place bracket bottom on lin...

This is replacing a pull up bar that "hangs" on the door frame. What a difference!! The circumference is wider and I am definitely feeling it in my forearms!! So far it does feel really secure. As others have mentioned, in the instructions, the measured distance from the top of the door frame is too close. I dropped it down an inch further and that is a good spot for me...

What I got was better than I'd expected, based on the reviews taken as a whole. The product came in a Go-Fit box. The bar is solid, the grips are well attached (so far), and the brackets are very well designed -- five thin, long screws for each bracket. All parts seem solidly constructed. The bar didn't slide into place easily, and it would/will take some force to get i...

I was so happy with the quality and ease of installation of this bar that I bought a second one. Great product. It doesn't have the danger of unscrewing like the tension rod I ordered before and it doesn't spin due to the shape of the ends. Its incredibly well-made and was very easy to install. It also comes with two sets of brackets so you can have two different height...

I put this bar up in a hallway, with four foot long 2x4's mounted vertically to the wall (into studs) first to screw the end supports into. We have one setting low for the two young kids, and one pair of end supports high for us. The hexagon end shape is great so the bar can't twist as you hang. I put tennis racket tape over the majority of the bar, so its very easy to ...

If you're not handy with a drill, I'd recommend you have someone who is, install this for you. Just because it's so important to get the screws perfectly level and straight in order to be able to remove the bar easily. But even with a perfect fit for all of the screws (credit goes to the friend who installed this for me) my bar doesn't want to pop out of the brackets no...

This is such a simple thing, you would think it would be easy to find one of good quality, but it is not. This bar is heavy duty, does not roll, and has adjustable grips that stay put while in use. If you do not have a door jam with a flat surface to screw the plates in of at least 1 1/4" wide, do not buy it. It won't fit. I put it on a door frame that does not have ...

This chin up bar is well worth it - especially for the price. I read probably about 30 reviews before I decided to commit to this product and I'm glad I did. Some reviewers reported having issues that I didn't have though. I'm assuming the product has been updated. You MUST follow the installation directs very closely and if you do, there will be no problems. It's neces...

I am satisfied with the purchase, there were a lot of reviews that talked about how the company used cheaper items etc. and alot of people are not satifisfied with the product etcBefore, buying this product, look at what you firstly have available home, if you got a wooden door frame or a concrete door frame greater than 25" but less than 36", then this product is suita...

I have had my chin up bar for over a year now, I initially bought it to encourage my "couch potato" kids to challenge themselves or each other! Well it has accomplished that & MORE! My boys now are a LOT leaner & toned, this was an easy "fun" way to get into becoming physically fit! When you see it everyday it is an easy "prompting" to see how many you can now do! We st...

This is exactly what you need for a chin-up bar to put in a doorway. It comes with easily-installed brackets to hold the bar in place; the length of the bar adjusts gradually in a screw-like motion to fit into the doorway; and it is cheap. DO NOT use the bar without the brackets, as other reviewers have noted. The bar also comes with two foam grips. The grips are nice, a...
