Great company to work with!
I used this as a group activity with kindergarten. You have to teach the kids not to "rev" them like a toy car. You must let the motor drive the wheels. If the mouse goes the wrong direction you have to teach them to pick the mouse up and hit the yellow button to stop it.
Needless to say, a few got broken. I sent in the purchase information and the serial numbers and g...

Problems with Mouse
I bought 4 Code and Go Mouse sets for my class. We have used them a couple of times and now 3 of the 4 mouses will not go straight. I have changed batteries and to the frustration of my students, this is now unusable. :(

Disappointed
Mouse wheels are spinning weakly and the mouse does not go straight, or obey any command. My 8 yr old boy was so sad! It was a gift for him, as he loves his Robotics classes. :(

A good pick!
It was a birthday present for my six year old. I was wondering if to buy it because some reviews for poor quality and the mouse being broken shortly after purchase/not working at all. I decided to buy and i do not regret - we have used it only a couple of times, but everything seems alright. My kid was very entertained and stayed enthusiastic about it.

Mouse does not work out of box
We received this as a gift for my 4 year old. Right out of the box the mouse does not work. One of the wheels does not stop, which means the mouse goes in circles no matter what commands we give it.

Disappointed!
Straight out of the box on his 8th birthday, my grandson got a mouse that goes to the right in a semi circle and nothing else. No matter how many different types of batteries it will not accept commands. A birthday ruined!!!

Mouse does not work at all
I wish I have read the reviews before buying it. Mouse does not go straight, or obey any command. My 7 yr old boy was so sad! It was a gift for him, as he loves his Robotics classes. :(

wasted my money
The mouse is the problem. It worked for a few weeks and then did whatever it wanted to - not following the program at all. I thought the kids were doing it wrong, but no. Tried new batteries - did not help. Have had it here in the box collecting dust for 3 years. Just threw the mouse out, but if you'd like to save the rest of it from the landfill you can have it.

Good but does not last long
The mouse does not follow instructions. My son received it as gift when he was 5 year old. Now he is eight year old. The motor of the wheel does not stop when the instruction are given.

Loved it but it didn't last long
Both of our kids really enjoyed playing with this. They grasped the coding aspects really quickly and enjoyed making their own mazes.
Unfortunately, it didn't last long for us as the mouse simply stopped turning on. We replaced fresh batteries and no luck. I'm not sure what might have broken. The battery compartment looks fine, but it just doesn't look like it's gettin...

Wheel bond breaks, gears are fine. Don't open to fix.
It's not the gears. It's the bond between the wheels and the axle that breaks. Often vehicles will have a flattened or shaped axle where it connects to the wheel. This is a small diameter and extremely smooth.
So no need to take the mouse apart for a repair. Just pull the wheel off and apply some strong epoxy.

Mouse doesn't work correctly
I use this product with my children and students, but the mouse is messed up. When you input the commands it curves instrsd of going straight. Now we have to just move the mouse ourselves because it doesn't work properly.

The mouse doesn't recognize the input commands
Awesome idea and seems like a good product, but the mouse no longer follows the input commands. It will sometimes move right one step, but no longer turns or does multiple commands. I tried everything, but it doesn't work.

Cutest Junk We Have
A for 4 for concept. A 1 for quality. I have toys and mechanicals that ar 40 years old. This lasted one year. We enjoyed it, with 5 year old, then set It aside for some months to introduce other learnings. Then today at 6 years reintroduced Colby. He was able to create maze and was excited to see colby grab the cheese. Colby would program but as noted in many other revi...

2 out of 5 broke within a few months
2 out of 5 broke within the first few months of non regular use. One wheel detached from the motor and won't spin, so the other wheel is the only one that moves it. Therefore, the mouse just goes in circles. The other one just stopped working completely. No electric response.

Good idea but limited mice action
We bought 3 games and a few extra mice. The kids loved it, but they also caught on fairly quickly.
In an attempt to "raise the bar", we took all the tiles and made one big maze 9X10 tiles.
It was a wonderful concept and kids were pumped.
It was disappointing to find the mice can only accept 40 commands, therefore limiting the maze size.
With the cheap price of memory, ...

Great for about a year
Our school (K-6) bought 8 sets about 2 years ago. Our students (K-3) loved playing with the mouse. Unfortunately, they started to break. We use them about 20 times per year, and now only have 2 mice that work. These were not a good investment and now we are left with all the pieces that come with each mouse and aren't sure what to do with them. We are moving on to Botle...
