I'm a review reader, so I was skeptical of this because someone reported no difference between the three lenses, but even a 5X lens was better than anything else I could find, so I purchased it. The box has a site to look at "for proper usage." The top of the device is labeled "Carson." To magnify 5X, use the top lens. To magnify 10X use the top lens and the bottom lens...

Too small to read
It would be perfect for reading if it were larger as you can only read one word at a time.

Useless
When you get a magnifier to help you read things in very fine print and it is magnified but turned upside down it is totally useless

Disappointing
I thought it was just me who couldn't tell the difference in magnification between the three lenses, but my husband, who has used loops for decades, said the same thing.

Magnifier
The viewing area gets smaller as you add magnification but overall it does a very nice job and the small size makes it easy to carry it with you

Great set of Magnifying Lenses
I really like having 3 strengths of magnifier lenses in such a compact, easy to carry case.

Not perfect, but it is certainly worth the money
It works as described, giving 5x additional magnification for each lens added to the stack that you are viewing through. With one lens, the magnification is 5x and there is little distortion, except at the very edges. As you add lenses and get more magnification, the distortion on the edges increases. At 15x the outer 1/3 of the lens is very distorted but the middle is ...
