Good product
We wanted a way for our staff to communicate seamlessly over significant distance and without having to use personal phones. Further, we didn't want to have to buy them biz phones and biz plans. Midlands long range walkie-talkies was the ideal fit.

Horrible Range Less than a mile!
I purchased the Midland X-Tra Talk 2-Way Radios attracted by their claimed 30-mile range. However I'm disappointed as they failed to live up to this assertion. Despite being less than a mile away from my sister I struggled to establish a connection even with all radios on the same channel and privacy code. Waste of Money
I bought these package due to its profile and as a fan of GXT1050. I had 6 total. 2 were dead after 10 yrs of normal uses. It works better than my Garmin Rino 650t. Mostly hiking and hunting. Some road trips in the mix. These new units suck and waste of money. It cost almost the same. Same hunting spot, these unit was hard to hear with all the static. I cannot even read...

Good range
I bought this about a month or so ago and used them right away outside on the farm and they work good up to 2 miles until you walk in a building then it gets choppy or doesn’t work.

Even better than expected!
So far they have been great! Sound is very clear and you don't have to have it close to your mouth to pick up your voice with the push to talk! We haven't tried the VOX option yet. I was skeptical at buying them but after just 3 days of using I purchased another set of 3!

Versatile, user friendly
bought 2 of these 3 pks for rotating security crews, easy to operate, works great in large bldgs. Shopped around before I bought 'em, happy w/ my selection of these LXT600's.

You get what you pay for and actually this is all
We bought these radios for backup to our "real" radios so we went into this deal knowing that we would not be talking 25 miles away; more like 2 miles in the Louisiana woods. I got some of these for my grandson last Christmas and they work fine at the soccer field and the baseball field and that is about the range we use them at work.
