Only got 1 mile range on these, even on a lake without any obstruction. Really disappointed

eh
i got this today to annoy my boyfriend with it and we’re only about 3.5 miles apart but it completely doesn’t work we’ve tried every channel and absolutely nothing. would really want to know if maybe it’s just us or this thing is broke .

Perfect for the grandkids
I bought these radios because they looked relatively simple and easy to use and that is in fact what they are. I have used two-way radios before so I was able to set these radios to the same channel and put batteries in without any problems. Love the T10s
Bought six sets for our Audubon group to use on car field trips -- to report sightings to each other. One field trip included some little kids and they had a great time using the walkie-talkies "copy that." That gave me the idea to buy some as holiday gifts.

Not impressed
Bought these 8 months ago and have not had a chance to use them. Finally got to go on vacation this year. I gave the other car that was following us down to Florida the other two-way radio. On way down the radios had horrible reception when we got about a hundred yards away from each other. Even when we got down towards Southern Alabama and Florida where it was all flat...

Teenage Grandson loves them
Even though he has a cell phone he enjoys using these with his younger siblings. He can actually go several blocks away and still be heard loud and clear. (I was impressed). I believe they would be great for camping and at the park or beach!!

Great little walkies!
I got these for Christmas and had planned mostly to use them out in cottage country where cel reception is spotty. Used them when I was ice fishing and walking the dogs to communicate with my wife back at the cottage. Actual range in dense forest was about 1 mile, but on the lake ice fishing, I had perfect communications and did not reach their range. I even lost one wh...

Excellent radio
These are the clearest sounding, easy-to-use two-way radios I've ever owned. The radios are simple yet have critical features: clear point-to-point communication, weather alert function, and ease of use. As with may radios, this one benefits from alkaline batteries more than the rechargeable ones. The alkaline batteries last much longer.

We gave this item to our grandchildren because their backyard is over 100 acres of woods and stream. They are using them and have a wonderful time exploring. They are ages 14,12 and 10 years. Great gift.
