Faulty Power Switch
Shredder would not turn on at the power switch. After several tries it did turn on but the power switch was stuck in the down position. I packed it back in the box and returned it.

Not much to be said about the Tru Red shredder because it simply does exactly what we expect it to do. But I will say the the gentleman who helped is Basher was such a pleasure to work with. Besides showing us this shedder he answered questions we had regarding some other electronics for our home. He was very pleasant and very knowledgable - a big help.

Recent purchase at Staples.
I love this shredder as my older one went on the Fritz !! The staff person was patient and answered my questions . I paid bought a 3 year plan and he humpted it to my car . So easy and it’s in my office being used as I need it . Thanks !!

You can feed it steady with many sheets at a time for 20 minutes before the shredder over heats.

The Best
This is the 3rd micro-shredder I've purchased from Staples in the past 20+ years. And so far it is the best one. The only complaint I have is the price. But than again I complain about the price of everything lately

Durable but Not 'heavy duty'
Advertised as Heavy Duty. I thought heavy duty meant it could run a long time. It will shred the 20 sheets it states but if you run it for 20 minutes straight then it needs 40 minutes to cool down. After the cool down it will run for 10 minutes before overheating. Then another 40 minutes cool down.... Didn't meet my needs. It is VERY quiet in operation much qui...

Doesn't work as stated
Overheats within 10 minutes. Once cooled down overheats within 2 minutes. Not worth the price.

Quiet Shredder
The shredder runs very quietly. It allows up to 20 pages at a time. You can run it for 20 minutes and then allow it to cool for 40 minutes. I'm pleased.

Powerful and quiet
This was a great addition to my office. It is powerful and also quiet. It crosscut shreds the paper into the large bin. I bought the bags to keep everything neat. It comes with about 3 trial bags so that may last you a while depending on the amount of shredding you do. The bin holds a good amount.

Quiet shredder
We’ve only used it a couple of days but so far the shredder works really well and it’s very quiet compared to the old shredder we had.

Replacement shredder
This is basically a replacement for another Staples crosscut we had to 12+ years. Only difference is that you cannot shred sideways like the old one.
