Didn't work; had to make TWO exchanges
Hard to know what to buy unless you try it out first to know what fits; in the end I had to buy TWO pieces (HDMI to HDMI) and adapter and ended up spending a lot more money. I hope it works.

Computer Transfer cable
This is a very good transfer cable if you are looking to transfer all the information from a tower computer to a laptop. The instructions very easy and the trans fee takes less than 10 minutes.

Worked perfectly
The internet can was a bit wobbly so I used this cable to directly connect my Surface Pro to a Smart TV. Thrilled to not have to use the adapter for the USB C port. This was for a sideshow at my Dad's funeral reception

Much better connection than using adapter!
I was using a USB-C to USB-C adapter that connected to a USB-C to HDMI cable feeding into my external monitor..
