Solid, Simple, Small Shredder
Perfect for light, home use. Small size fits anywhere. Smaller container than most, but I'm not shredding everyday. Micro-Cuts like more expensive shredders. Easy to empty. Has a solid, simple feel. Don't forget to pick up some oil and apply once a month so your shredder will last longer.

Paper shredder broke twice
Bought one and it jammed despite feeding it less than the max allowed page count. Returned it. Second shredder/same model did the same thing again and I was forced to fold the paper sheets so that they would fit into the shredder and not get stuck on the broken blades. Returned that one and have just unboxed unit #3.

Low quality
In the first month of use, a bit of plastic fell off the teeth, leaving a gap. Something like that shouldn't happen after a few weeks of use.

Hope Exists for Longevity
I had an earlier version of this shredder (from 2011) that just died. I ordered the most similar version and am hoping it will also last 12 years! So far, it's working perfectly!

New Micro Cut shredder
I had two Mailmate shredders before and used them often, however when they stopped working, I needed new ones. I am extremely pleased with my two new Micro Cut Mailmate shredders! They cut everything into tiny 1/4" squares, and NOTHING can be read or copied. They are terrific!!!

Bestest little Shredder
Just replaced an 8 sheet Tru Red Shredder that worked very well for a number of years with a 12 sheet Tru Red Shredder that is working very well and much quieter (yeah). This seems to be just as hard working a shredder and I look forward to many years of shredding. Thank you Staples!

hard to use
I bought this shredder because of it's compact size and micro shredding feature but it was very difficult to feed paper into it, especially smaller pieces of paper. Also the shredder head is not removable if needed to clear a jam. I returned it and will shop on.

Great small shredder
This is a great product for the price, but you need to order it on line. Big difference in price! In store it sells for $109 but on line it was $69.95. My delivery was free and it was delivered in 2 days. Simple set up and easy to use. Great for home use and small shredding jobs.

Great shredder for basic home use
This is my second mail mate shredder. My first one lasted over 10 years and was excellent.
This new style is modern looking and I expect another 10 years of service.
Just remember to not over fill or you will have problems. Empty frequently and run oiled sheets thru shredder to keep it running smoothly
