Great Shredder Excellent Value for the features
This is our second crosscut shredder from Staples. This replaces a previous version due to a move. We wanted a cross cut that could handle several pages at once as well as CD/DVDs and credit cards.
This unit checks all those boxes. It is also quieter than our last shredderso that was a plus.

Worked like a charm in the first few months but stopped powering on in a little over half a year.

good shredder
Very quiet, shreds a good-sized chunk of paper at the same time, and does have a built-in mechanism to bag the shreds, but the bags are pricey. I wish the bin was a tad smaller so kitchen plastic bags would fit better (but they still work). Good purchase, hope it lasts as long as my previous shredder.

So far, so good! Super easy/convenient set up - major kudos to whomever thought of that! It does its main job of shredding well. And our staff loves the warning light when it starts to get too full - our last shredder didn't have that feature so this feels like a luxury. I would recommend this product!

Does the task at hand
I would have preferred the cross-cutting to result in confetti-like pieces, instead of strips that are over an inch long and therefore take up more volume in the bin (and are slightly less secure for privacy), but it seems to be well built and handles whatever we give it.

Broke
This shredder worked great at first but after a couple of months it would just stay running which was annoying, so I had to manually turn on and off when using. A couple more months down the road the motor started making a loud noisy and was barely shredding anything. I would not recommend as you will be wasting your money.

Great QUIET Shredder
There are 4 of us in a small office and the previous shredder bit the dust. We were very glad to find this gem. It is so quiet. I sit about 7 feet from it and barely notice it.
