Great Performance and Very Good Value!
This unit replaced a mid-range Fellowes strip-cut shredder that finally gave up the ghost after nearly ten years of fairly hard use. Quiet but somewhat flimsy
The unit is much quieter than my previous Staples model that just broke, but the shell that supports the shredding mechanism is noticeably flimsier than the older Staples unit. Once the shredder top is set on it, it seems to do fine. Also, the basket capacity is smaller. Overall, seems with the money.

It's quiet but once the paper passes the sensor it stops shredding too quickly and paper gets stuck them I need to shift every thing with a stick to clear it . I bought this to replace another that had the same issue and once I cleared the paper it wouldnt shred

Don’t make them like they used to.
My old Fellows gave out after 15 years. My new one is not as well built but works ok. We’ll see going forward.

I had a different Fellowes shredder model (now discontinued) for many years and broke it by attempting to shred a disc in it. Guess you’re not supposed to do that, LOL. Our old shredder had a gummy substance on the blades that we could never get rid of, so we purchased this shredder. We have used it for a long time now, and it works great. I would hope if this one ever dies on us that we could get another one-same model!

Works perfectly
Micro cut allows much more shredding in container, pretty quiet also. A tad irritating for the shut down time, but it is not that long. Works much better than my last shredder, very pleased.

Got a Lemon
Will be returning the one delivered as it failed to power on when plugged in. My current shredder is a Fellowes that I have had for several years. The old one (PS-77c model) still functions although it has a cracked motor/shredder case from an accident coming back from storage after a remodel.

Temperamental, best used carefully
This is our THIRD Powershred 60MC unit. The first two survived 2 years each until they jammed and could not be cleared. It shreds no more than four sheets at a time, otherwise it will jam. Works best shredding one sheet at a time. When I do shred four sheets, I will then take one sheet and hold it so. That the blades run and clear any excess left. If excess is allowed...

As a matter of education, we would like to offer some clarity regarding maintenance and usage. Sheet capacity really should not be an issue if the blades are being oiled with Fellowes oil every time the basket is emptied. In addition, users want to be sure not to be putting adhesive through the shredder as this will cause jamming and possibly unit failure. Lastly, while the unit is designed to accept 10 sheets per pass, the daily recommended usage rating is 250 sheets. We are unsure of the causes of the issues you have been experiencing, but should you begin to have any problems with your new shredder, please call our customer service team for assistance. We would value an opportunity to help you!
