Wonderful robot for kids !
What is not to like about this robot . It's a durable little guy that just keeps on going .
Let me preface this buy saying that it's meant for younger kids so if you are buying this for a teen they probably won't be the age range for this HOWEVER my oldest son is 11 and is used to the lego mindstorm EVE 3 systems and he was impressed that for a robot geared towards yo...

Terrible Product
Terrible. Do Not Buy! There is no product support for this product and no way to reach anyone. We put together our robot and the remote just makes loud very obnoxious beeps and does not work. The only way to make the beeps stop is to remove the battery. There is absolutely no information anywhere regarding this. The information in the "booklet" is incredibly limited wit...

Fun while it worked
We enjoyed Botley for a few months until it began veering & continuously spinning left. We've tried turning off/on, replacing batteries, but it doesn't respond to commands anymore.

Disappointed
Botley only spins on one wheel now. It was really fun for my 6 year old while it lasted but quickly broke. Super disappointed.

Great while it lasted
Botley was a gift. We loved this product. It's a bit boring for my 7 year old but my younger kid absolutely loves Botley. Unfortunately we now are dealing with an upset child because he wants me to fix it and other than replacing batteries I have no idea what to do. Botley doesn't respond to his remote any longer. We had it maybe one year before it stopped working. Cons...

good concept, bad execution
My kid uses the product, but it isn't really coding as it advertises. It was a good idea but it wasn't executed properly

Botley 2.0 not working and can't troubleshoot
I tried everything to get Botley to move. The noises sound like it's going to work but then nothing. Is there any warranty for this product?

Terrible quality
Great idea, terribly disappointing quality that renders the great idea useless - it veers to one side, strongly, so that whatever you program it to do doesn't translate. Will be trying to return to store.

Good idea but let down by final product
It's a great idea but i am left feeling let down and frustrated. It is simple to use and instructions are easy to follow. My 5 year old can easily handle it but after a short while becomes annoyed due to the fact that it doesn't go in a straight line (veers to the right) and therefore if programming a longer move (10+) it goes off course. It's very frustrating for her a...

I wish Botley existed when I was growing up
So, I bought this for my 2 year old daughter who is already showing an interest in "tinkering" with things. She watches me change batteries in her toys and takes my screwdrivers and imitates what I do. So, Botley struck me as a no brainer. When I took it out of the box, it was everything I expected it to be. The directions were clear and concise. I learned how to use it...

My son loves Botley
My son loves this set! He is learning so much, so quickly about how to break down steps and logically plan out (code) Botley's actions. This was one of the most liked gifts I've ever given him.

5 year old loved it
Purchased for my 5 year olds bday. He loved it and so did my almost 7 year old son. It does take some adult time to read the instructions so be prepared to spend some time teaching, but overall a nice learning toy.

Botley Does More
My students love the Code and Go Mouse, but this set does so much more. It is really new to them so they haven't had much time to work with it, but already they love it. If your students liked the Code and Go Mouse they will love this even more!
