Poor AM Reception
This radio has poor AM reception (heavy static) because of the AC adapter plug (which transforms it to DC for energy savings). The instructions even admit this problem, stating one needs to have the radio at least a foot from the plug. However, I put it 3 feet away, and the AM reception was still full of static. FM reception was fine.
