Does the job very well!
Just the basics. No unnecessary buttons or functions. Nice and simple. Your thumb naturally finds the forward button and resta on it, so you don't have to keep looking at the remote. Laser pointer is nice and bright, and reliable. You can use either USB wireless or Bluetooth, which makes this even more versatile. Highly recommended!

Useless product - laser too dim
The laser is way too dim and it is not visible AT ALL in my lecture classroom. That defeats the whole purpose. I am returning it.

It just works!
I generally trust products from Logitech and the R500 does not disappoint! First of all, I love the quick plug and play you get with the USB receiver. Plug it in to a compatible USB port and you are presenting immediately! You can also connect via Bluetooth although I have not tried this yet. Range is good
Definitely better range than the R400. Not in love with the button placement, but that's probably because I am used to the R400 placement.

Not great
It goes through batteries very quickly. And once new batteries are used, you have about 5 minutes of normal use, before you need to be within 2 feet of the computer for the clicker to work.

Not bright enough
The remote control works very well for advancing and reversing presentations. However, the laser light is not bright enough when trying to point out something on the screen, particularly when there is a light colored background.

Excellent, Laser Reliability depends on Background Colors
It worked well. No issues. The pointer function worked but was not visible on my matte display with dark colors. Overall good product. Pop out the batteries if you are traveling in the airport to get through TSA.

Utter Garbage
Bought this because of its simple design and possession of just a few buttons. However, it kept ceasing to function after just a few PowerPoint slides. Tried it with multiple batteries, and stood within a few feet of the computer running the presentation. Control the PC SCREEN/POWERPOINT
The unit does the job, but has no switch for power off. The light cannot work on Digital screens--used for TVs and in most new offices. It does work 50+ feet--GREAT,
