Poor quality unit
Many pieces did not fit. Upon final assembly when movinto place the entire unit collapsed. Am returning to nearest Staples for credit.

Saucer 5 shelve bookcase (410367
Staff loaded the very heavy carton in my vehicle. I offered to help the young girl but she declined the offer. You should not let a nice young girl do heavy lifting like that. I haven started to assemble it yet ,but I hope not have any defect or assembly issues. C. Mik.

The bookcase materials are above average in both quality & sturdiness for kit-built furniture. The instruction were - for the most part - clear. Labeling of the various parts could have been more thorough, as some were labelled and some were not. A good value bookcase - fairly easy to assemble.
The Sauder 5-shelf bookcases are one of the cheaper bookcases you can find for it's size. It does require assembly and is made of pressboard and particle board (not real wood), but as far as kit furniture goes they are fairly easy to assemble and fairly sturdy as far as particle board bookcases go. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. The components, hardware, and tools were complete. Assembly is easier with two people.
