Poor quality unit
Many pieces did not fit. Upon final assembly when movinto place the entire unit collapsed. Am returning to nearest Staples for credit.

Won't hold LP's
I bought this case to hold record albums. After putting it together discovered that the items i want to store won't fit. As this was an online purchase there is/was no way to know the shelf spacing,

Very well manufactured fine-grained MDF and veneered pieces. Assembled, the bookshelf is well balanced and level. Sufficiently strong for our purposes. Good price as well. I would recommend the item.

Not worth it.
This product has been a disaster. If I knew how lazy the packing was and how poor the instructions were I never would have purchased it. The hardware is all in one bag. Have fun digging through that. The particle board is delicate and you need to be very flexible to assemble this without breaking it.

Would Not Reccomend
We received our bookshelf today and immediately opened the box to put the shelving together. There are multiple wood pieces that have cracks all the way through them that are visible even when fully assembled.

Sturdy, screws not separated out
I only know this because my partner and I ordered both the brown and black bookcases at the same time - the hardware (screws, nails, etc) for the brown ones are in nice packaging that really walks you through it one piece at a time, but this one they throw everything together in one bag so if you don't know what you're looking for, it's easy to grab the wrong screw/etc.

This is just what I have been looking for, it is so hard to find a wide, tall bookcase. I've been looking for months, saw one in the Staples store, my car too small to bring it some, and it is too large for me to carry...ordered on line, had help bringing it in the house. It's great.

Managed to have the shelf together in a short amount of time (2ish) hours with only one extra hand (my mom, 60+ years old) and then up full of books short after that!

An hour a d a half of work for nothing
As others have commented, putting this bookcase together is somewhat labor intensive. I'm fine with that, but after completing most of the assembly, the upper and lower halves came apart, with both the wood and the hardware breaking somewhat. I now either need some replacement parts or a new unit, and I lost time that I'm not getting back.
