Tailor made for a specific purpose
I love these things. I use them for work.
Basically if you have something where the frame is constant, but the contents of the frame need to be changed regularly, they're great. For my work that is notices, licenses, advertising, those sorts of things.

Poor design
No way to hang picture without screwing holes into the wall.
Why not just put the standard handing loops on the top and side.
Expensive for an inferior product.

Bizarre picture frame design
This picture frame through me for a loop. It opens from the front like a flower/claw and you place your picture inside, behind a plastic transparent film. This has no backing or hooks, just holes to screw the frame directly into the wall. They also provide plastic anchors for your screws in case you have drywall and no studs. Perhaps if it were for a very large size...
