Tru red dotted journal-sufficient
It is sufficient. I liked the journal “Markings” by C.R. Gibson but I don’t know if that company is around any more since I can’t find it any longer. So was very disappointed when staples didn’t carry it any longer. It was reasonably priced at $10 -$11 and I could write and do watercolor illustrations in it. Tru Red is working out okay. Versatile
Well made. Perfect size for note taking drawing graphing and basic* job site plans/quick rough drafts. I'm using mine for school and side jobs. So far it's holding up really well.

It is very difficult to find dotted (not lined) journals. This was perfect! The weight of the paper is just right for ink as well. And you can’t go wrong with Staples shipping.

Wonderful for Sketching
I am an architecture student and decided to try this journal out for my sketchbook for a semester. The paper is great there's a ton of pages and the dotted paper is really great to sketch on. The flexibility of the cover allows you to have more fun putting some wear into this book. Genuinely a great product and I will be buying a second soon.
