I successfully scanned nearly 5000 documents before my EPSON ES-50 scanner could no longer be cleaned with the wet maintenance paper. Is this a record ?

Epson E-50
The power input has to be "wiggled" for it to make contact inside. No its not the power cord - it is a problem "inside" the connection on the unit itself. Would have been good if not for that problem. Maybe not a typical problem. Hope not for others

It scans very well and keep track of your receipts, Sadly you have to pay the invoice because this give you a free trial. The Other scanners that I have a Epson holds more papers doesn't need to pay the subscription.

I expect better for the money
You should be able to use something that dosn't cost $20 to clean this scanner considering how often it's going to need it. Get a microfiber cloth and at least one $20 optional cleaning kit when you buy the scanner. You're going to want to dust all your pages before you scan them because fairly soon you'll have white or black lines on your scans. That's a minor annoyanc...

Epson ES-50 Scanner is so easy to use!
Very simple and straight forward to use. Even the older ES-50 still works well but this one was for a new office and I'm quite happy with how easy it is to set up and use.

I gently moved it on my desk and now...
I had to slide the scanner over on my desk and now as I'm scanning my documents there is a thin line on each page. :( Only use if you are in a padded room and the scanner is surrounded by bubble wrap.

Black lines
This thing worked great the first half dozen times I used it. Now, it has a black line on everything I scan. Mind you, I am 50 years old, and not running anything but flat paper through it.

Replaced my Bulky Scanner
After many years of using a bulky scanner, this proved to be a great replacement. At the cost does great scans. Speed too is great. If you need something to scan for minimal work, this is the answer.

Doesn't Work With Windows 11?
I purchased this scanner several years ago and used it with my Lenovo computer that has Windows 10. I recently bought an HP all in one desktop computer that has Windows 11 and the Epson scanner doesn't work. The light comes on but that's it.

Doesn't work
It worked 1 day and then never worked again. The scans are so light and nothing can be deciphered.
