Awful product.
Bought this to caulk the gaps in my LP smartside I just installed. It is supposed to be rain ready in 1 hour. I’ve used this product before with great results. I applied about 100 linear feet of it to my new siding and it sat for over 5 hours before a rain storm came through. Came out to look the next day and nearly all of it is washed out and the remnants are all over ...

As DYNAFLEX ULTRA is a water based (acrylic latex) formula, the sole drying mechanism is the evaporation of water. Dry time can be significantly impacted by cool or humid application conditions, application to damp surfaces, applications where air contact is limited or by thick (deep) applications of the sealant.Because you did not provide any details regarding your attempted application, it is difficult to provide you with a more detailed response or specific product usage guidance in this format. Great Product and the color was perfect for my project
I used this on a bathroom tile floor between the tile and threshold. It went on smooth and even. I always have had great sucess with DAP products.

Easy to use
Very easy to use and clean up after, just takes a lot longer to dry. I would recommend a day to paint.

This caulk rules for homeowners!
This caulk works amazing for small jobs! I only use it for cracks in existing caulk on the outside and inside bathroom areas. Very easy to use and dries quickly. Love the color choices! Keep up the great work.

I wasn't expecting this
I always use dap it's number one usually but today I bought a clear call to finish up around a sink and it came out white I'm not saying I'll never use this brand again but I just wanted to inform the company

I've been a builder for over 30 years in new construction and remodels. I've used most of the Dap caulking, and this is hardest to work with. Because it's so thin it's hard to control the bead and it will continue to run after pressure is released from gun. The consistency needs to be like the Sidewinder product. The two formulas you are comparing DYNAFLEX ULTRA (acrylic-latex/water-based) and SIDEWINDER (advanced polymer) are vastly different with respect to their chemistries and performance charateristics. DYNAFLEX ULTRA (acrylic-latex/water-based) is a softer, easier to gun, soap and water clean-up formula. SIDEWINDER is a 99% solids (heavy bodied), more difficult to gun, solvent clean-up formula, designed for use under more challenging application conditions. While these sealants are both classified as high performance (ASTM C920), the user experience (during the a application phase) would be very similar to comparing a latex-based paint to an oil-based paint. Good for indoor use
I like the way it tools and the water cleanup. On the downside it takes forever to set up. Thought I would use it outdoors and the day after application we had a wind storm, blowing dust onto the caulk job. The dust stuck and will not come off so it looks dirty. Performs exactly how it's marketed to.
I'm replacing the south facing windows in my house and needed some caulk to seal them with. I had replaced the north facing windows years ago and used Alex Plus caulk, which while easy to apply and cleanup didn't hold up in the long run. It cracked and shrunk. one of the worst i have ever used
this product is loaded with air every time i try to caulk a window it shoots out an air bubble and splatters the caulk i tried different tubes and the same result one tube i used came out like cottage cheese and a clear liquid with it the tubes were just purchased never again will i use dynaflex ultra i would never recommend to anybody i have been doing doors and window...

Waterproof and sturdy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Dap inside and outside. It did an amazing job outdoors where I had to seal around some windows. It clearly was waterproof and has not changed form. I also used it in the shower and it did a great job sealing up the gaps, keeping water out of the seams. It was easy to use and has maintained shape.

Dynaflex Ultra is a great sealant!

Definitely a keeper!

Really worked
