No setup issues
Nice to finally purchase something and have an easy setup. I don’t even care if it works. The setup was easy..,,It does work by the way.

IT DOESN'T DO IT'S JOB
We still have dead zone in office & it's installed properly & plugged in next to router.

Extender works as advertised
This product does exactly what I needed. I had a dead spot in my house for Internet, so I plugged this unit in near the dead spot, in a place that had a connection, and the dead spot immediately disappeared.

TP-Link RE205
The product is very easy to install and is working perfectly. I WIFI speed on the other side of the house has increased. There is very little buffering when I try to stream videos now

Lower Than TP-Link Advertised Speed
TP-Link specification shows that this RE205 has "Signal Rate: 300Mbps at 2.4GHz, 433Mbps at 5GHz". My router is a TP-Link AC1750 which could provides 450Mbps over 2.4GHz. I only could get link speed of 130Mbps at 2.4GHz even when both RE205 and AC1750 are side-by-side. The 5GHz speed is at 433Mbps as it supposes to be.

does anyone like idea extender?
or would prefer wifi network repeater over wifi range extender it that or PowerLine extender which only works with item providing wifi and and Power line Adapter which providing internet on same fusebox. so comes down one question which one best to get internet to dead spots?

VERY EASY SETUP USING THE button on the modem, placing the TP-Link in an outlet near the modem, & then moving the Link closer to the dead zone.

I am wondering why my wifi search doesn't show this network as the stronger signal. My phone keeps connecting to my main router.

The performance is fair. While it improved my speed, it was still not the improvement that I was expecting. I use Zoom for work, and there are still glitches, and the transmitter is literally only about 6 feet from my laptop.

More complex to set up than it would seem
Decent price for a basic extender and super fast shipping. This unit has marginally increased our WiFi coverage in the house, but created 2 new networks (a 2.4G and a 5G) to choose from depending on the room you're in. instructions problem
no problem with the unit, it works as advertised but the paper instructions did not contain all the information needed to connect using wps. I had to go to web sight and found all info and unit connected just fine. TP-Link needs to reprint paper instructions with correct information.
