I got back to the office looked at my receipt and noticed the 4.99 charge. I was never asked if I wanted the protection plan they just charged me for it anyway

Not sure that it was necessary but took it anyway. Then when I got home and read the papers, seen one year was already covered and that probably would have been enough.
