Sent it back
Unfortunately, the handle on this safe was entirely plastic and felt like it was going to snap off. Within two days, the safe begin to fail to lock and unlock and require the key to get in. The only way to get it to function was to be very rough with the very flimsy handle farthing my concern that I was going to snap if off. I returned it within two days.

Heavy, small inside, cheesy-feeling
It's good that it's heavy but if you don't need the capacity, don't get something too heavy to lift and move around. The rubber door seal will keep water out, I'm sure. Comes with heavy bolts for securing the base to concrete or wood floors. Safe needs airing
Thought this would be an ideal safe for home use. Unfortunately, not until I opened the box and read the instructions did I see the recommendation to open the safe every few weeks to air it out to avoid moisture condensation. That doesn’t work if one is away for half the year. Returned the safe. Otherwise it could have been good.

Single dead bolt safe
Too bad that Staples did not have this safe on display as I would have seen that there is only a centered single dead bolt to lock the safe's door. This would allow someone to pry open the door from the top and/or bottom. You get what you pay for.

Don't buy.
Locking and unlocking the safe doesn't work. The handle is flimsy. Gave it as a Christmas gift. My return time expired. I will be throwing it in the trash. Most likely I will not buy a Honeywell safe ever again.

This is the first safe I've purchased. It's made well, but the outside is plastic, so I wonder how long that lasts in a fire. It has a good combo lock with a key override.
